Arpanet The Arpanet was created so that countries could keep in touch in the event of a nuclear holocaust. Arpanet stands for Advanced Research Projects Agency Network. It was commissioned in 1969 because of the Cold War in which a lot of countries threatened one another with nuclear missiles. Russia had nuclear missiles’ but not within firing range of the U. S. A. so they asked Cuba if they could set up the missiles’ for them this was known as the Cuban missile crisis.
The World Wide Web was created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. The WWW is a network of networks inside the internet. It is a huge revolution in the history of the Internet.
