THE DATA ACCESS PROCESS Stage 2: Data Steward Review • • • Proposal is reviewed by Review Committee (Ministry of Health, Provincial Health Officer, and BC Centre for Disease Control). Proxy peer review completed. Researchers are notified if their proposal was successful.

THE DATA ACCESS PROCESS Stage 3: Data Access Request • • Researcher completes the entire DAR. – Approved ethics application & certificate included at this stage. Pop. Data reviews DAR for completion and consistency.

THE DATA ACCESS PROCESS Stage 4: Data Stewardship Committee Review • Data Stewardship Committee reviews DAR.

THE DATA ACCESS PROCESS Stage 5: Contracts and Accounts Set up • • • Documents signed: research agreement, pledge(s) of confidentiality, cost quote, and researcher services agreement. Researchers complete privacy training. Pop. Data to prepare Secure Research Environment (SRE) accounts.

THE DATA ACCESS PROCESS Stage 6: Data Preparation and Delivery • • Data is provided on the SRE. Outputs are reviewed by Pop. Data before release outside of the SRE. Analytic code is shared via Pop. Data Snippets. Research material submitted to Data Stewards for review.
