The Danube is the longest river in the Europian Union and Europe’s second longest river after the Volga. It originates in the Black Forest in Germany. The Danube flows eastwards for a distance of some 2850 km (1771 miles), passing through several Central and Eastern European capitals, before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine.

• Different peoples who live on the banks of the Danube, where they came from, their traditions and customs • The outstanding people from different countries who considered to be the symbol of the country • How the cultures of different countries influence each other (interdependence) • Youth subcultures of different countries

• Languages which exist on the banks of the Danube • Languages which disappeared or are disappearing now • How these languages influence each other • What we can do to save their originality of these languages

• There are some countries that were parts of former Yugoslavia. How their life has changed since that time. What changed to better? What changed to worse? What problems do these people face now?

• We hope to gather enough information about our country to get you interested in this project. • We’d like to prepare presentations on the subtopics of this project which are interesting for you and for us. Then we’ll exchange by the presentations and compare our results to make right conclusion. • We also hope to find friends while working on this project and organize students exchange. • Owing to the project we hope to be more tolerate, to understand people from different countries better and become the citizens of the world.
