The Communion of the Holy Spirit 2 Cor. 13: 14 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. KJV The answer to this prayer would give you everything you could ever or desire: �The Grace �The Love �The Communion

The Grace, The Love Paul was praying that they experience: The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ: Includes all the power of God at your disposal released through the Lord Jesus Christ, all His unmerited favor, and all that God does for us that we could never do for ourselves. With enough of God’s grace, you have it made in life. The love of God that can never be exhausted – there’s nothing you could ever do or have ever done that would cause God to love you any less, the extravagant love of the Father that so authenticates us and completes us. His love causes us to walk around knowing we are cherished, cared for affectionately and watchfully such that we don’t have any worries but cast all our cares on Him for He cares deeply for us. As though this was not enough, we also get to have the communion of the Holy Spirit.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT What is communion? Three words come from the word communion. Communion is the Greek word Koinonia which also means: �Fellowship �Partnership and �Distribution Fellowship gives birth to partnership and partnership gives birth to distribution.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT � The first person since the fall of Adam to exemplify fellowship with the Holy Spirit was Enoch: � Gen. 5: 22 -24 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. KJV � Enoch walked in habitual fellowship with the Spirit of God � He accessed what others didn’t access. � There was less and less of the natural in Enoch and more of God in his experience until he could no longer live down here. � By faith he pleased God so much that there wasn’t a vein in Enoch that was displeasing to God so God transferred him to Himself.

OPEN INVITATION TO FELLOWSHIP God has always extended this invitation to fellowship with Him to whosoever will for He is no respecter of persons. He invited Abraham to “Walk before Me and be perfect. ” Gen 17: 4 17: 1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. KJV Abraham did just that and God cut an everlasting covenant with him that made Abraham the father of our faith That covenant was between Abraham and His Seed our Lord Jesus Christ out of Whom we’re born again. He became the forerunner of our walk with God.

OPEN INVITATION TO PARTNERSHIP WITH HIM Other people like Noah walked with God and so God brought him into a partnership to preserve the world. Gen 6: 8 -9 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. KJV When all was said and done, everyone was destroyed by a great flood except for Noah and his family because he walked with God at a time when it wasn’t popular to walk with God brought Noah into partnership with Himself that saved a remnant of mankind for Him.

INVITATION TO FELLOWSHIP God has always extended His hand of invitation to fellowship with Him. Cor. 1: 9 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. KJV The Father Himself started it all. By Him we were called into the fellowship of His Son. John says that this fellowship is with the Father and with His Son. 1 John 1: 3 KJV 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT The Father brought us into fellowship with His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Where is God the Father? In heaven. Where is Jesus? In heaven. Acts 1: 9 -11 tells us that Jesus ascended into Heaven. He went to the Father and He said He’ll come again. The Father is in heaven, Jesus is in heaven and yet the Bible says that we have been called into fellowship with the Father and with His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. So, this is a legal fellowship. We have such a wonderful relationship with Jesus and yet He’s not here. We experience the love of Jesus, but He’s in heaven. How do we get to experience Him?

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT �It is generic terminology to say that Jesus lives in you. In reality, Jesus ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. �It’s the Holy Spirit who brings His presence and makes His anointing known and available to God’s people today. �When the Bible says Christ in you, it means the totality of the character and nature of the Lord Jesus and all that His anointing represents is in you. �In other words all of His life, and the power and glory of His anointing reside in you by the Holy Ghost. And that, the Bible says is the “Hope of Glory. ”

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Our opening Scripture reveals some things to us. 2 Cor. 13: 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. KJV He lets us know what we can enjoy from God the Father, what we can enjoy from Jesus and what we can enjoy from the Holy Spirit. The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ – the Bible says the law came by Moses but Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. The Grace of Jesus Christ has been poured out on us through His death, burial and resurrection. He couldn’t do anymore than He already did on the cross of Calvary. Now we can enjoy it. What about the Father? God so loved the word that He gave His only begotten Son. He’s proved His love to us abundantly. He already did the most that love could do, by sending Jesus. The love we experience and enjoy now is not a new thing because He gave us Jesus.

COMMUNION IS ONGOING But there’s something that is fresh and ongoing in our dispensation and that is the communion of the Holy Spirit. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Christianity without the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is dead. Though the Father has brought you into the fellowship of His Son, you can only enjoy that fellowship through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit makes the presence of the Father and of the Lord Jesus real to you. The Holy Spirit transports you into that presence of God. Such that wherever you are, you can experience God. Then you find that God doesn’t come and go, you are in Him and He is in you by the Holy Spirit.

THE ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE The Holy Spirit has a beautiful identity. In the Old Testament, He was referred to as the Angel of His Presence. Isa 63: 9 -10 A KJV 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: The word angel is translated from the word that also means messenger or the conveyor. He is the Conveyor of God’s presence. He is the One who carries God’s presence from place to place on earth and He brings that presence to you.

ITS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT �The Holy Spirit is the reason we can know Jesus is real and He is the reason we can know what’s in the Word of God. When we pray, it’s the Holy Spirit who makes the divine presence real to our spirits and then we “feel” so close to a living God. �The Holy Spirit is the One who brings us an awareness of the power of God. �When you were born again, you were immersed into God by the Holy Spirit. �The Bible says 1 Cor 12: 13 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. KJV

ACKNOWLEDGE HIM When you realize the Holy Spirit is a person, you acknowledge Him often. �Jesus said, “I am in My Father, and the Father is in Me. ” That has now become your experience. You too can say, “I am in the Father and the Father is in me. ” �Not by theory, but by experience! Why? You were born into God and then you received the same God who immersed you into Himself to live in you. You received the Holy Spirit to live in you. �What body did He immerse us into? The body of Christ. And what is the body of Christ? Christ. You were immersed by the Holy Ghost into Christ when you were born again. The more you acknowledge it, the more it becomes real to you.

ACKNOWLEDGE HIM! �When the Holy Spirit did a work of regeneration in you, He stayed in your spirit waiting and hovering there waiting to do more in and through you. �Waiting to come upon you �Waiting to give you wisdom and Counsel �Waiting to help you pray, to be your advocate �Waiting to strengthen you, to quicken your motor body �Waiting to give you boldness �Waiting to flow through you But with some, He’s been imprisoned in there doing nothing because He has never been acknowledged

HE IS THE DOER OF THE WORKS �Recognize that the Holy Spirit is not junior God. He is the Spirit of the Father. Jesus said that the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works. He was referring to the Spirit of the Father. So, the works of God are done by the Holy Spirit. He’s the doer of the works of God. He’s waiting to do a lot of things through you. �The Holy Spirit in your life is the key to extraordinary, absolute , unchanging success. �None of those who received the Spirit were ever defeated. Everyone in the Bible who received Him gained the mastery and became a champion.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT �Most people don’t recognize Him. They don’t know who He is. They think He is an influence. But He’s more than an influence. He is God. �It’s one thing to receive the Holy Spirit and it’s another to be in fellowship with Him. �Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is not difficult. One of the things we must learn is to listen to Him and act on His Word. You can’t really fellowship with anyone if you never listen to them. �You can’t have fellowship with someone if you hear them but you constantly negate everything they say. That would jeopardize your fellowship. �Whenever God invited people to fellowship with Him, He invited them to be perfect or totally obedient to Him.

THE PARTNERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT �Once you recognize the Holy Spirit as a Person who doesn’t live outside you but lives inside you, and that He’s not sitting in some room in your spirit but He’s mingled with your spirit, you’re one with Him, so you get to hear Him easily by simply listening to your spirit. Listen to your inside! �Your born again spirit, indwelt by the Holy Spirit is a safe guide. Your spirit gets it’s cues from the Holy Spirit. �Your part is to give Him full charge of your life. Let Him occupy your whole house. Some people just give God one room in their lives.

HOW MUCH ROOM DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE IN YOU? How much room does God have in your life? How much access does the enemy have in your life? �One room ? �Two rooms ? �Four rooms ? �The whole house? �Allowing the Holy Spirit to infiltrate your life and fill every room is what brings you into fellowship with the Father and the Son.

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT �You cannot please the Son without doing His Word. This is why the Holy Spirit reveals the Word to you so you can do it and then fellowship with Jesus. � John 14: 21 -24 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. " 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? " 23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. NKJV

COMMUNION THROUGH THE WORD �Turn your entire being over to God. If you let Him only in your spirit, He’ll be there but you may still think the wrong thoughts with your soul and do the wrong things with your body. �When the Holy Spirit is allowed to infiltrate every area of your life, you become a doer of the Word of God. �How does the Holy Spirit help you commune with the Lord Jesus? Through the Word of God. When you meditate on the Word, He’ll bring you into rich fellowship with the Lord Jesus. �For example, through the Word, you have much more than healing, you have the Healer revealed to you. His divine presence vitalizes your mortal body through His Spirit and you live in divine health.

HE POURS WATER ON WHAT PROCEEDS FROM YOU When you commune with the Holy Spirit on a regular basis, He pours water on all that is yours. It begins to be productive. This is the distribution of the Holy Spirit. �Isa 44: 2 -4 KJV 2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. 3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: 4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. �Water in verse 3 refers to the Holy Spirit. When you thirst for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, you will receive.

DISTRIBUTORS OF HIS DNA �Seed does not just refer to your children. Your seed is anything that proceeds from you. Your thoughts, your ideas, your job, and your money are all your seed, for they represent you. He causes your productive life to affect others positively. �How did the Shadow of Peter cure people? HOW did aprons and handkerchiefs cure people? The essence and DNA of God from the apostles was in those clothes. The Life of God was transmitted into them. �Why? Those apostles had been spending time communing with the Holy Spirit. �When you commune with the Holy Spirit, there will eventually be a distribution! �If you focus on communing with Him, meditating on the Word of God, receiving revelations of Jesus from Him then there will definitely be a distribution of His DNA through you.

DISTRIBUTORS OF HIS DNA � John 6: 63 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. NKJV This means that the Words that Jesus spoke carried His DNA. He communicates His life through His Words. Anything produced of God or born of God overcomes the world. I have His DNA, so I cannot fail. 1 John 5: 4 KJV 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. This says, whatsoever not whosoever. Anything that proceeds from God overcomes the world. Anything that carries the DNA of God overcomes the world.

DISTRIBUTORS OF HIS DNA �The essence of God you carry when you fellowship with Him overcomes the world. And it can increase in you. �When Paul was saying, Eph 5: 18 “be filled with the Spirit”, he was saying, “Let His divinity in you increase and your humanity decrease. ” John the Baptist said, “He must increase but I must decrease. ” �He wants to work in you, see through your eyes, talk through your mouth, touch through your hands, walk with your legs and live in your body.

THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT � His anointing, His influence, is not His Person but His DNA. The person of the Holy Spirit did not move to the aprons and handkerchiefs. His DNA was in them but the person of the Holy Spirit did not go into those clothes. � Every part of your body has your DNA but that doesn’t mean every part of your body is you. You and I have God’s DNA and that is why we too overcome the world. This is why you can heal the sick. � No other religion has this fellowship with God. No other religion has the DNA of God. How could they have it? Who would make it possible? � The Holy Spirit would never witness to their gods. They don’t carry the DNA of God. They don’t have the Words that are Spirit and Life.

THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT � With the Holy Ghost in partnership in our lives, we become a distribution center of the DNA of God. � We fellowship with God, � We partner with God, � We distribute God around us. � When God wants to do something more with your life, He gives you a hunger for a closer communion with Him. � He begins to draw you to Himself by His Spirit. � If you respond, He brings you into communion with His Son by His Spirit. � If you continue hungering, after Him, He brings you into partnership with Himself. � If you continue hungering, He begins to distribute His graces through you.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT �If you choose to commune with the Spirit of God more than ever before , you will enjoy His partnership and then He will distribute Himself a lot more through you. Remember the invitation: 1 John 1: 3 KJV 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. � God has great purpose in fellowship. He has given us different levels of fellowship:

DIFFERENT LEVELS OF COMMUNION � 1. Fellowship with the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit and the Word. � 2. Fellowship with one another through the Church. � 3. Fellowship with your family and close confidants Just like each part of our physical body fellowships with the other, each one in the body of Christ must fellowship with one another by attending services and group meetings. Every congregation is a vital part of the plan of God and the body of Christ. There’s communion and impartation that takes place when we gather together. The Holy Ghost sees to that and that fellowship allows us to fulfill our destiny in God.

LEVELS OF COMMUNION � Fellowship is something you do – so attending a service is something you choose to do. � Heb 10: 25 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. KJV � Do you hear the spirit of this verse? It grieves the Spirit of God when it becomes your manner of life to skip fellowship with others in the church. The Bible says we provoke one another to love and good works. Each of us should consider one another and never allow the other to go the wrong direction. This is the ministry of the Spirit through every Christian. � We fellowship through the Church when we praise God together, when the Word is shared and we partake of it together, when we give testimonies, when we take communion together and when we pray together. The Spirit of God says don’t neglect this level of fellowship!

LEVELS OF COMMUNION �The Bible tells us to seek to excel to the edifying of one another. To edify is to build up and strengthen the church. When we come together, we allow the Holy Spirit to manifest Himself for the common good of all. �God needs you to flow through the uniqueness of your personality. You deprive others when you don’t let the Spirit flow through you in your uniqueness. �The best thing you can do for yourself is find God’s plan and walk in it. The Church provides you with that opportunity. �Of course there are other levels of fellowship – with those the Lord has brought specially close to you like your spouse, your children, your covenant friends – David has such covenant friends who were helpers to him in the war.

THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT �Whatever level of fellowship you have been entrusted with, be a good steward of that and be faithful. �All the other levels of fellowship are all enriched by our fellowship with the Holy Spirit. �He gives all these other levels their meaning. �Remember: �He communes with you �He partners with you �He distributes through you.
