The Foundation assisted with home repair costs to ensure Juan and his family had a safe living environment. After waiting for several months, Ann was scheduled to receive a liver transplant. To afford the procedure, she and her family sold assets and borrowed money, but were unable to come up with the full amount. The Foundation provided the additional dollars to cover the remaining cost of the procedure. After falling three stories, David learned he was paralyzed. Unable to care for himself, David needed to fly home to his family to begin treatment. The Foundation covered the costs of a special medical flight to bring David home, and provided funds for special-needs equipment.
