Introduction Your circulatory system is made up of three different parts: the heart, blood vessels and the blood itself. Your heart keeps all the blood in your circulatory system flowing. The blood travels through a network of blood vessels to everywhere in your body.

The Heart THE HEART PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM AS IT ACTS AS A PUMP. THE HEART PUMPS BLOOD, WHICH IS FULL OF NURTURANCE, AND SUPPLY’S THE ORGANS AND CELLS WITH IT.

Blood Vessels Blood vessels carry blood away and towards the heart . They act

Blood Vessels Blood vessels carry blood away and towards the heart . They act like roads and the blood as the cars. Arteries carry blood away from the heart and veins carry blood back to the heart. The blood being pumped out of the heart is oxygenated(that’s why the colour is a bright red) and the blood coming back is deoxygenated hence why it’s a darker shade of red.

The solid part of your blood contains. Red blood cells (RBC)deliver oxygen from your lungs to your tissues and organs . It also contain white blood cells which act as the police . They are the response to the body when infection invades.
