The Changeless Role of Women Mike Mazzalongo
And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. ” - Matthew 19: 4 -6
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” - Matthew 28: 20
Role of Women in the N. T. Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us— - Acts 1: 21
Role of Women in the N. T. and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. - Acts 18: 26
Role of Women in the N. T. On the next day we left and came to Caesarea, and entering the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, we stayed with him. Now this man had four virgin daughters who were prophetesses. - Acts 21: 8 -9
Role of Women in the N. T. Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you. But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. - I Cor. 11: 1 -3
Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head. But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved. - I Cor. 11: 4 -5
For if a woman does not cover head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or head shaved, let her cover head. For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. - I Cor. 11: 6 -7
For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. - I Cor. 11: 8 -11
For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God. Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, - I Cor. 11: 12 -14
but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her for a covering. But if one is inclined to be contentious, we have no other practice, nor have the churches of God. - I Cor. 11: 15 -16
Role of Women in the N. T. • • • I Cor. 11: 17 -34 – Proper Attitude 12: 1 -31 – Every Member Necessary 13: 1 -13 – Love Promotes Unity 14: 1 -25 – Proper use of Gifts 14: 33 -40 – Attitude & Conduct of Women
for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. - I Cor. 14: 33
The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. - I Cor. 14: 34
If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. - I Cor. 14: 35
Was it from you that the word of God first went forth? Or has it come to you only? If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment. - I Cor. 14: 36 -37
Role of Women in the N. T. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - Gal. 3: 26 -28
Role of Women in the N. T. Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, - Eph. 5: 15 -18
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. - Eph. 5: 19 -21
Role of Women in the N. T. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. - I Tim. 2: 7
Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. - I Tim. 2: 8
Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness. - I Tim. 2: 9 -10
A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. - I Tim. 2: 11
But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. - I Tim. 2: 12
In The Church… • A woman is not to teach a man • A woman is not to have authority over a man
For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with selfrestraint. - I Tim. 2: 13 -15
Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households. - I Tim. 3: 12
Role of Women in the N. T. namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. - Titus 1: 6

Although men & women have different roles in the church and home – both men & women have the same need. - SALVATION-
