THE CASTLE IN THE ATTIC By Amanda Zheng
The Castle in the Attic is about a young boy named William who is sad that his housekeeper is going back to England to live with her brother. William is sad that she is going to leave, so he decides to take Mrs. Phillips most 2 important things : a picture of her husband who was killed in World War 2 and her mother’s pearl circle pin. He knew that she would never leave without them.
William asked his mother “ Will Mrs. Phillips go to England without her pin ? ” probably” she replied When William heard this the next morning he took out the pin and picture and put it in back on her bureau. But Mrs. Phillips saw him do it. Mrs. Phillips told William that on Monday she would have a big surprise for him. After school he ran to his house he found Mrs. Phillips “Did you bring the surprise” he asked? “Yes William , it is in the attic ” Mrs. Phillips. They went to the attic. The surprise was a big, stone and wood castle. “ This castle is yours no, “ It is my goodbye present” “Then I don’t want it” he said. But he had it anyway.
Mrs. Phillips gave William a full tour of the castle. “Are there any knights in the castle” William asked Just one replied Mrs. Phillips and she showed him the knight. Even though Mrs. Phillips had gave him the castle, he still wanted her to stay. In the morning William looked at the castle and picked up the small knight. He gently pushed the knight, his hand fell across his chest. He was alive William thought. The knight said “What have you done to Alastor” he said. “Who’s Alastor “William asked. The knight said that he was a evil wizard. He looks like medal with a face.
The knight told William that his name was Sir Simon. They head of to a magical land to try to defeat the wizard Alastor. At the land William can’t find Sir Simon. At the land he helps people and breaks spells that Alastor did to them. He passes a scary dragon. To pass the dragon you have to look in its eyes, but You will want to look away. Then he meets Alastor. Will he win? Find out So read the book!!
