The Bucegi Natural Park • It covers an area of about 32. 662 ha, • It is situated on areas belonging to Dâmboviţa, Prahova and Braşov counties, of which 16. 387 ha belong to Dâmboviţa county alone. • It displays a wide geological, geomorphologic and biological diversity (3037 species of plants and over 3500 species of animals) • The beauty of the landscape dubbed by numerous gorges, caves, curiously shaped rocks such as Babele and the Sfinx – many of them being natural monuments– Ialomiţa Valley attract numerous tourists annually. • In this area, in the Dâmboviţa county, one can spend the night in one of the chalets: Babele, Bolboci, Zănoaga, Scropoasa, Padina, Peştera Hotel or in one of three school campsites- Căprioara, Cerbul, Vânătorul. • It includes 10 natural reserves: - mixed (Peștera- Cocora, Orzea-Zănoaga, Zănoaga-Lucacilă, Cheile Tătarului) - botanical (Poiana Crucii, Poiana Horoaba, Turbăria Lăptici) -speleological (Peștera Rătei) -paleontological (Plaiul Domnesc, Plaiul Hoților)
The Natural mixed reserve Peştera - Cocora ( Cocora. Horoaba; Horoaba Valley ; Cocora; Ialomiţa Cave; Peştera – Babele) • It is a natural mixed reserve ; PEȘTERA • It covers an area of 307, 0 ha. BABELE IALOMICIOARA • It includes rare floristic species such as: Fescue (Festuca apennina), Axolotl ( Trollius europeus), angelica ( Angelica arhangelica), Spotted Gentian (Gentiana punctata), the Crucifer Hesperis matronalis, subsp. Moniliformis(Hesperis moniliformis) - endemic relict in Bucegi range, the leafless iris(Iris dacica) , as well as a rich fossil fauna. The natural Rezerve Orzea-Zãnoaga (Zănoaga; Grand Zanoaga Gorge–natural mixed rezerve; • it covers an area of about 667, 2 ha; • it includes the carst range: Grand Zanoaga Gorge, Orzei Gorge and Lespezi (natural monuments), • It contains protected species : European larch (Larix decidua) , Swiss stone pine( Pinus cembra) , mountain rye (Secale montanum, the leafless iris (Iris dacica) LARIX DECIDUA CHEILE ZĂNOAGEI LESPEZI PINUS CEMBRA CHEILE ORZEI LACUL SCROPOASA CHEILE ZĂNOAGEI
The natural complex Reserve- Cheile Tãtarului/ Tatar’s Gorge • it covers an area of about 144, 3 ha; • -it is a biological, geological, paleotological landscape reserve which includes the Tatar’s carsp range : Peştera Ursului- the Bear’s Cave and Peştera Micã- the Small Cave, Cheile Tãtarul Mare- The Grand Tatar’s Gorge( natural monument ), • - in both caves fossils of Ursus spelaeus were discovered CHEILE TĂTARULUI CABANA BOLBOCI BARAJUL BOLBOCI LACUL BOLBOCI
