Joel Chapter 3 - End Time War Against Jerusalem! 3: 1 “For behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem. ” The 1 st Destruction - King Nebuchadnezzar The King of Babylon laid siege to Jerusalem from 606 to 586 BC. The Jews were massacred or taken as captives to Babylon for 70 years. Solomon’s magnificent Temple was destroyed; Jerusalem was burned. This 1 st Destruction was God’s judgment for idolatry & not keeping the Shemitah for 490 years - fulfilling Daniel Chapter 9: 2426 Exactly on time in 516 BC, God sent Ezra and Nehemiah to rebuild the Temple. The Jews returned, Jerusalem was rebuilt but God’s Chosen People again returned to idolatry!

The 2 nd Time was 70 AD – Rome’s Destruction of Jerusalem! Exactly 40 years after Jesus was crucified, the Roman Prince Titus and the 10 th Legion laid siege to Jerusalem in 70 AD. . The Jews were slaughtered; the 2 nd. Temple was burned, and the city Jerusalem razed to the ground - just as Jesus had prophesied in Matthew 24: 2, exactly on the same day! The Temple Treasure was taken to Rome as spoils of war The remaining Jews were scattered to the nations for almost 2000 years, Hosea 6: 1, 2.

The Second Return Spoken by Joel was May 14, 1948. The collective guilt from the Holocaust, the League of Nations voted “in one day” to give the Jews a land of their own - Israel! “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Joel 3: 2. “I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat” The Valley of Jehoshaphat is the Kidron Valley right outside Jerusalem and part of the plains of Meggido. Joel is describing the Battle of Armageddon. It is also called The Valley of the Shadow of Death.

Joel 3: 12 -13 “”Let the heathen be awakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to. Judge all the heathen round about. ” “Put in the sickle for the harvest is ripe. Come, get you down: for the press is full, the vats overflow; For their wickedness is great. ”
