THE BILL OF RIGHTS PROJECT
AMENDMENT #1 Freedom to say or write whatever you want as long as it is true. Freedom of Religion to worship anything or anyone you would like. You may speak your opinion on something or protest as long as it is a nonviolent protest. You may speak your opinion to the government.
AMENDMENT #2 Anyone in the military or protective service should have the right to hold a gun After a gun test is given according to the state if passed you should be allowed to own a gun.
AMENDMENT #3 You DO NOT have to keep soldiers at your house unless you WANT to.
AMENDMENT #4 No one may search your house unless you let them or they have written permission from the government and have a good reason for searching your house.
AMENDMENT #5 You can NOT be charged twice for something. This means if you are tried for something and found innocent you may not be tried again even if there is more evidence found to show you are guilty. Also in court you do NOT have to talk if you choose not to. Miranda Rights Your private property can not be taken by the government without the government giving you money for your land.
AMENDMENT #6 In criminal trails the trials will be quick and pubic trials with a jury who is fair. You have the right of help from a lawyer. You have the right to have a witness.
AMENDMENT #7 If the item in question for is over twenty dollars you can go to court in any state.
AMENDMENT #8 Bail is not required though you will stay in jail if you do not pay bail. You will get your bail money when you come to the jury case, but if you do NOT show up for the jury case the government will get the money and the government will look for you. Bail has to fit the crime and record.
AMENDMENT #9 Just because the Bill of Rights doesn't include some rights doesn’t mean they don’t apply.
AMENDMENT #10 The laws that are not in the United States constitution or that are not given by the federal government are governed by the states.
