Marginalized Peoples Archetypal Criticism �Archetypes are universal symbols – images, characters, motifs, or patterns – that recur in myths, dreams, oral traditions, songs, literature, and other texts of peoples widely separated by time and place. �Archetypal Criticism deals with the similarities of these patterns in the literature of widely diverse cultures.
