Who made it? • There are many people who say that Daeng Sutigna founded the angklung, although there have been many different opinions on this, so we don’t know with complete certainty if this is really true.

How Do You Play It and What Sound Does it Make? • Playing an angklung is really quite simple. The only movement involved is a shaking motion. It is usually played in groups, with each angklung making a different sound.

When is it played? • The angklung is usually played to honor Dewi Sri, the goddess of fertility. • It is also played to signal that it is the time to pray.
