The Angelic Conflict (7) God Satan Elect Angels Believers Demons Unbelievers The Fallen Angels Today How Satan Works Against The Lives Of People • • • Remember when God cast Lucifer and his angels from heaven and changed his name to Satan. • When fallen angels were cast out, God called them demons. Every time a person chooses for God, it shows how perfectly fair God was in dealing with Satan and the fallen angels. • Demons try to turn people against God. Starting with Adam and Eve, Satan tried to keep them from choosing God’s plan. When Satan tries to keep you from choosing God’s plan, this is called temptation. You are being tested to choose between God’s plan (right) and Satan (wrong). We all have volition and must all choose either FOR or AGAINST God. 2

John 3: 1– 7 (NASB 95) 1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him. ” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. ” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? ” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7“Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again. ’ 3

They must continue to choose between right and wrong. Testing is a part of life that we all face. • The demons are trying to get you to reject God and His plan which is found in the WOG, the Bible. 1 Timothy 4: 1 (NASB 95) 1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 8

Hebrews 2: 14– 15 (NASB 95) 14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. • Demons use people to accomplish their goals. The believer must be very careful about what he thinks and who he listens to. Mark 4: 24 a (NASB 95) 24 a. And He was saying to them, “Take care what you listen to. Luke 8: 18 a (NASB 95) 18 a”So take care how you listen; 9

They sometimes get foolish believers to do their will. 1 Timothy 4: 1– 2 (NASB 95) 1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some (believers) will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 2 Timothy 2: 24– 26 (NASB 95) 24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those (believers) who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. 10

Gods plan is for nations to exist and not have a one-world government. Satan uses the Bible to confuse people twisting the truth so they misuse it. He tried this with Jesus during His temptation in the wilderness, but Jesus knew the truth and responded with the WOG. Matthew 4: 6– 7 (NASB 95) 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, ‘HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU’; and ‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE. ’ ” 7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST. ’ ” 11

He teaches and tells lies. John 8: 44 (NASB 95) 44“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 14

And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous. 15
