The 7 -year annual report (2019) of the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI): Enhancements and Highlights Richard E. Hughes, Huiyong Zheng, Steven Coon, Brian R. Hallstrom, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA

INTRODUCTION • Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) is a state-wide quality improvement

INTRODUCTION • Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) is a state-wide quality improvement effort built on a registry. • MARCQI produces an annual report containing cumulative percent revision (CPR) data by implant. • In 2019, MARCQI produced its third annual report. This abstract reports the enhancements made to that report.

AIM • To enhance the MARCQI annual report to include: • a section on

AIM • To enhance the MARCQI annual report to include: • a section on hip resurfacing • a section on THA stems (aggregated over cups) • a section on THA cups (aggregated over stems) • For each device report, enhanced by adding: • • Cumulative percent revision (CPR) to five years post-operatively Number at risk by year Age and sex-adjusted hazard ratios Utilization over time

METHODS • 87, 765 hip and 161, 496 knee cases entered in the MARCQI

METHODS • 87, 765 hip and 161, 496 knee cases entered in the MARCQI registry between 2/15/12 and 12/31/18 were included in the analyses. • Survivorship up to 5 years of primary joint replacement were computed for implants having at least 500 cases in the registry using the Kaplan-Meier estimator and reported as a cumulative percent revision (CPR). • In addition to stem/cup combinations, cups and stems were each reported independently. A resurfacing section was added. Riskadjusted hazard ratios were reported. Chronological utilization for each implant was also included.

CONCLUSION • MARCQI expanded its annual report in 2019. It is available at http: //marcqi. org/dev/wpcontent/uploads/2020/02/2019_Annual. Report_2 -15 -2020. pdf • There is substantial variation in revision risk across implants • Only a few age and sex-adjusted hazard ratios had 95% confidence intervals that did not include 1. 0
