Baggage • One main piece of luggage. • A small back pack which should be used as your cabin bag on the plane and also for when we are in the village. • In all, your luggage should weigh no more than 20 kgs
Packing List It is a warm time of year with average temperatures expected to be in the low to mid 30°s. Please follow the packing checklist carefully.
Packing Important to recognise and respect a different culture’s expectation toward clothing and dress. Shorts and skirts should be a reasonable length (at least midthigh), and bare midriff tops and leggings are unacceptable and are not to be taken
Laundry Students will have the opportunity for clothes to be washed at least once throughout the Big Experience.
Spending Money Approximately $350 should be enough money for spending on snacks and gifts. There is no need to change into the local currency before we go.
Medicine Staff need to have been notified prior to departure if students are taking any medication. We will send an email closer to departure requesting this information.
Mobile Phones Students ARE NOT permitted to take mobile phones, Smart-phones and or any electronic device that has connectivity capacity on the Big Experiences. Discussion of expectations will take place with students prior to leaving.
Blog A daily electronic diary/blog will be kept throughout the trip. The diaries can be accessed via the STLlink http: //learn. stleonards. vic. edu. au/yr 9 cue/ and use the navigation links down the right-handside
Standards of Behaviour We will have the highest of expectations of students whilst they are on their Big Experience. Accordingly, they are expected to adhere to the same standards of behaviour as would apply at school. These standards will be outlined prior to and also during the Big Experience.
