85 th Legislative Session v. Texas Legislature began its biennial session on January 10 th, 2017 and ended on May 29 th, 2017. v. Special Session begins today, July 18 th, 2017. v. The Legislature considered nearly 7, 000 substantive bills and resolutions, but passed only 18% during the 140 day session.

th 85 Legislative Session – Higher Education v. SB 1091 - Relating to limitations on courses that may be offered for dual credit by school districts and public institutions of higher education. Effective immediately. v. SB 2082 - Relating to the work-study student mentorship program administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Effective immediately. v. HB 2223 - Relating to developmental coursework offered by public institutions of higher education under the Texas Success Initiative. Effective Immediately.
