The Inuit and the Arapaho Native Americans of the Arctic, such as the Inuit, lived in the coldest climates found in North America. Many were nomadic and followed the caribou. The Native Americans of the Plains, such as the Arapaho, were also nomadic. However, instead of following caribou, they followed the bison across the land. Even though both groups hunted different types of game, they hunted for the same reasons. Both groups used the animals for meat, and they used the animal hides to create shelter and clothing.
