Introduction and Problem statement • To build an expansive supercharger network ensuring maximum convenience to Tesla customers at minimum cost in the United States of America with the funds provided through the years 2017 to 2021. • The objective of the presentation is to economically justify the location specific placement of the supercharging stations while satisfying the customer needs.
Scope of the project Do-Nothing option • Not feasible, as there is big market of EVs in the U. S. • Tesla owns market share in Jan-June 2017 • Per charger sales grew by 1 Supercharger = 25 EVs Don’t like buying EVs? • Pricing and Maintenance Cost • Range • Charging Capability Target Audience • Geographically • Financially • Age Attract Customers Supercharger Installation Distribution of yearly budget • Mileage • Price and more financing options • Excellent planning of Supercharging Network • Choosing a state on the basis of population and purchasing power • Selecting cities on the basis of EV sales and number of superchargers • Placing at urban center based on space & crowd
