Our Summer Term is jam packed for your little Acorn and the team are looking forward to it. Term Dates Term 5 – 23 rd April to 24 th May (closed Bank Holiday Monday 6 th May) Term 6 – 3 rd June to 25 th July Themes Week 1: Use your Senses Week 2: Colour Week 3: Minibeasts Week 4: Gardening & Growing Week 5: Happy Minds/Healthy Bodies Woodpeckers, Squirrels, Yoga Dance & Messy Play Please ensure your little Acorns have a change of clothes for our water/messy play activities each day. Woodpecker Outdoor Adventures are on Monday afternoons so please bring coats/wellies/sun hats as appropriate. Squirrels on Thursday afternoons – please bring PE kit for practice changing. Upcoming Events • 10 th May: Meet the Manager Stay & Play 10 am-11. 30 am • 15 th/16 th June: Kington Langley Scarecrow Festival • 13 th June/26 th June/28 th June/4 th July: Kington St Michael Primary School drop -ins at 1. 30 pm-2. 30 pm • Kington Langley & Bybrook Valley Primary School visits to be confirmed • Open afternoons at Acorns (dates to be confirmed) Small Changes…Big Impact Small changes are being made at Acorns to help make the children’s experience more relevant to them and to make it easier for you to find out what they have been up to. What’s new? Paper Learning Journals available within the setting, a library service from Wiltshire Mobile Libraries, a change in the way we plan our activities and more opportunities for you to join your child for some shared activities too! The team is really excited to embrace these new ideas and we hope you will be too.
