An Advance Directive is… a written statement of a person's wishes regarding medical treatment, made to ensure those wishes are carried out should the person be unable to communicate them to a doctor.

Absent an advance directive, providers are obligated to keep a patient alive with any

We live in a mobile and global world where young adults tend to settle farther away from their families. Many families have concluded that longer lives don’t necessarily mean “quality” lives. Healthcare resources are precious and limited.
