Safety, Surveillance and Learning Typically a systems and components are tested through accelerated aging to prove performance through a temperature range over a predetermined time. This approach is based on generally known environments. What if you could see the real-time environments that a system or component ACTUALLY sees during its lifetime? What if you could see the temperatures that a particular system or component sees during its lifetime? ◦ What if you had that data for a failure investigation? ◦ What if you had that data when a request for Service Life Extension was made? With Task Aerospace’s Temperature Logging System these things are possible Now a Maintainer can walk up to the aircraft with a handheld device and tell the history (Recorded Data) and identity of the component (or any other system) that is on the aircraft. TLS Capabilities (1/2) ◦ ◦ ◦ Autonomously collect and record environment data Date/time-stamped for each temperature recording incident Each downloaded report is logged Ability to report-out through no-contact handheld device Adjustable recording interval/ mission-adaptive logging interval Wireless readable on PC based Blue Tooth device ◦ Download recorded data into a manageable format (i. e. MS Excel readable) ◦ Maintains Data Integrity without power being applied to the TLS ◦ Service life up to 5 years (depends on recording interval and data-read intervals) ◦ FCC Compliant and meets the requirements of an Aircraft Cockpit environment Information contained in this presentation is confidential and proprietary information. TLS Capabilities (2/2) ◦ Small device: 75 mm x 35 mm x 12 mm

TLS Capabilities (2/2) ◦ Small device: 75 mm x 35 mm x 12 mm ◦ 2. 95 X 1. 38 X 0. 47 inches ◦ Operate safely in an Explosive Environment Operate safely in the immediate vicinity of explosive materials ◦ Operate within aircraft cockpit ◦ Does not interfere with or effect aircraft or its subsystems ◦ Operate in temperature range from -67 F to +185 F ◦ Unique ID and Serial Number for each collecting device, reported within data ◦ TLS is capable of adding additional environmental recording (such as vibration, shock, humidity, etc. ) ◦ Password Protected/Resettable Information contained in this presentation is confidential and proprietary information. TLS Configuration ◦ Records Date (Std or Julian) ◦ Recording Time (Military/International Format, 0000

TLS Configuration ◦ Records Date (Std or Julian) ◦ Recording Time (Military/International Format, 0000 to 2399) ◦ Records unit serial number, reports out unit serial number ◦ Records Temperature Data (F or C) ◦ Other environments optional with additional capabilities ◦ Variable/adjustable Sampling Interval ◦ Records data up to 5 years without service Information contained in this presentation is confidential and proprietary information.
