Tell the shape, color, texture, taste, and size of things Grade One Teacher: Miss NR Bola

Things vary in size. Some things are big and heavy. They occupy bigger space.

There are things which are small in size. These objects are light and occupy less space. Some things may also be small but heavy. They occupy space too.

Things around us vary in color. Bright objects are attractive. Red, yellow, and blue makes object look interesting and pretty. Some have dull or pale colors. Other things have many colors. They are multi-colored.

Things differ in taste. Some foods taste sweet. They taste delicious. Young children like to eat them.

Vinegar and green mangoes are sour. Tamarind is also sour. Ampalaya is bitter, while pepper is hot and spicy.

Objects smell differently. Bath soap and cologne smell good. Garbage and rotting objects smell bad. There also objects which have no smell at all.

Objects also differ in shape. A table can be round, square, or rectangle. A coin, a tire, and a yo-yo are all round objects. An eggs is oval or oblong in shape. A tent, an ice cream cone, and a party hat are triangular in shape. There also things which are irregular in shape.

Things have different texture. They may be smooth like a mirror or dish plate. They may be rough like durian, jackfruit or pineapple.
