Tell how the angels in chorus, Sang as they welcomed His birth, “Glory to God in the highest! Peace and good tidings to earth. ” Luke 2: 1 -20

Fasting alone in the desert, Tell of the days that are past, How for our sins He was tempted, Yet was triumphant at last. Luke 4: 1 -13

Tell of the years of His labor, Tell of the sorrow He bore; Mark 14: 32 -36

And they went to a place called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray. ” And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled. And he said to them, "My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch. ” And going a little farther, he fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will. ” Mark 14: 32 -36

He was despised and afflicted, Homeless, rejected and poor. Matthew 8: 20; Acts 4: 11 Luke 4: 16 -30; 2 Corinthians 8: 9

And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. " Matthew 8: 20 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. Acts 4: 11 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8: 9

Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, Writhing in anguish and pain; Matthew 27: 45 -50

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, lema sabachthani? " that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? ” And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, "This man is calling Elijah. ” And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. But the others said, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him. ” And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. Matthew 27: 45 -50

When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb. Matthew 27: 57 -61

Tell how He liveth again. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 -8

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 -8

Love in that story so tender, Clearer than ever I see; John 3: 14 -17

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3: 14 -17

Stay, let me weep while you whisper, “Love paid the ransom for me. ” Romans 5: 7 -8 Mark 10: 45; 1 Timothy 2: 5 -6

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person--though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die--but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5: 7 -8

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10: 45 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2: 5 -6

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15: 7 14 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 1 John 2: 14, 24

Do You Believe The Story of Jesus?

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10: 9 -10

37 -38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do? ” And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. Acts 2: 37 -38, 41

Does His Word Abide In You?

Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 1 John 3: 7 -9
