Lesson Plan • Objective: Introduce student to emotionally connecting literate and to learn to understand why the pieces were written and to learn to break down poems. • Group students up to look up key terms that are giving to help describe a poem and other common literary words and examples. • Set each student up with a partner so that they may collaborate on the assigned piece and compare each others thoughts. They would use the internet to access the poem and research the authors motives and reasoning behind their pieced. After collecting research on the poem they would use a Power. Point presentation to compare their thoughts and the authors. • After each group has finished presenting, all groups would collaborate on each other poems rather they agreed or disagreed with their analysis. • Hand out a detail way to break down a piece and answers that are acceptable to help improve their analysis. After student Power. Point's are revised and more detail, each would be posted on a website to be access by other students to view their work. •
A). By posting student work on the internet, I feel it would increase students work performance knowing that others are able to view their work, making them work harder. By having student partner up and collaborate helps them to motivate each other and also piggy-back ideas of each other but it is also more intimate than a group which is important when working with literature. B) The objectives of the lesson plan is to help student identify the meaning of a piece and how t utilize the internet to help understand a authors reasoning. The student's will be graded on their knowledge of the piece and by their Power. Point presentations, along with partner review. I am using the internet to search to make the class more active and also to not use textbook because they can easily bore. By having commuter for student access I am preparing the environment for learning. C) I would give a verbal exam for extra credit of the literary vocabulary giving to make sure they are understanding how it word can be used. Students input on how the lesson went by using the internet rather then the book would be giving in the form of a survey after the lesson to ensure the impact. D. ) The students I am working with are 9 -12 th grade students. Students are learning literary terms and vocabulary.
