What are we getting? ■ 6 th and 7 th graders are getting Google Chromebooks th ■ 8 graders are getting Dell Laptops

When are we getting our devices? ■ All students with returned and signed forms will be getting their devices on January 14 th ■ All students will return to their homeroom at the end of the day.

Technology Expectations in the A. M. ■ First, All student will go to breakfast for grab and go. Second, all students will then go to locker and report to their Homeroom/Block 1 Class ■ Students will eat their breakfast first, then receive their technology. The teacher will determine this timeline and your readiness for receiving your device.

Technology Expectations in the P. M. ■ You will return to your homeroom at dismissal. You will be dismissed to the buses from here. ■ Your homeroom teacher will have you put your devices back on the chargers in an orderly fashion. ■ It is YOUR responsibility to follow your teacher’s charging instructions. ■ If you do not follow those instructions your device may lose power overnight and then you are out a device tomorrow. ■ You are ultimately responsible for your device, please

General Expectations ■ You are NOT ALLOWED to take your device out of this building. EVER. ■ There is a geofence/geotag around the building and when the device is taken off school property, the District Technology department is immediately notified. ■ The device is the property of the District. – You are not allowed to put stickers on the device in any way – You have the same device for the entire time you are at Shue (TAKE CARE OF IT) – District will monitor student usage of each device – All District and building rules apply online in terms of bullying, language, appropriate use, etc. ■ You will not receive a case with the Chromebook

Important Information ■ Students are not allowed to charge their devices during the day in any class. ■ If there is a substitute for your homeroom teacher, you will not receive your device for the school day until another teacher comes to supervise distribution of devices. ■ Device carts will be locked at all times throughout the day except when getting and returning devices ■ Each device is coded to an individual student. – District is able to track who is using the device at all times ■ If you have a problem with your Chromebook/Laptop or it is taken, let your teacher know immediately.
