Credit system used at the institution Technological University of Tajikistan was accepted as a pilot university for the introduction of the Bologna credit education. However, Bologna Qualifications Framework has been fully launched in our institution in 2015 and according to the ECTS system the university prepares specialists in the frame of the following cycles and durations: • for 4 years - Bachelor’s degree • for 2 years – Masters • For 3 years – Ph. D

Use (or lack of) ECTS Technological University of Tajikistan uses ECTS since 2005. In educational programme of TUT 1 credit = 24 hours: 1 credit = 8+8+8=24 Lectures Practical classes 4 hours active 4 hours passive Individual students work

Student mobility process - Incoming mobility - Outgoing mobility How the mobility organized: a) Planning mobility (in the frame of bilateral agreements and Erasmus+) b) Announcement of the available mobility places (promotion and dissemination) c) Students’ advising services provided by the mobility office d) Submission of the required documents e) Selection of the students by Home and Host Universities f) Signing Learning Agreements (especially within Erasmus+ ICM) g) Visa support and accommodation services (provided by both institutions) h) Recognition of the ECTS according to transcript of issued by Host university i) Reporting
Credit transfer process If a student transfers from one speciality to another speciality he/she needs transcript of marks. If the number of credits riches not more than 18 – credits in this condition he/she has the right to transfer. A student intended to continue studying in a foreign country or a foreign student in our institution must have permission of the Ministry of the education and science before the mobility exchange.
Grade conversion process Usually in the inter-institutional agreements are shown the grading systems of both parties. The courses are converted according to the shown grading of the brought in the agreement. TUT uses 100 -point grading.
