TC 3 THE SYSTEM APPROACH The system approach concept 4 concept that considers that functional and structural engineering, system-wide interfaces and compositional system properties become more and more important due to the increasing complexity, convergence and interrelationships of technologies 7

TC 3 THE TC 3 INTERPRETATION Interpretation for documentation 4 A “system standard” would be a specification of the properties and components of a Documentation System usable for specified kind of objects 4 A “product standard” would be a specification of a specific aspect of the documentation system or the properties of a system for a delimited branch or technology (sub-system) usable within the overall system. 4 The IEC/ISO Documentation system? 12
