Social Studies ● ● ● U. S. History! • Exploration to Reconstruction/Modern Era! Tutoring: Before or after school - let me know! CBAs – Curriculum Based Assessments • Test Grade Corrections - only for major projects & tests! Extra copies of homework and notes on the website!

Language Arts ● ● “Level Up” Independent Reading Program • Reading 1 st 15 -20 min of class • 30 books this year • Reader composition book- track books read/abandoned, journaling Homework: • ● ● Written & highlighted in agenda Curriculum Based Assessments (CBAs) Tutorials before/after school by appointment

Grading Policy Daily work/ Quizzes: 50% Tests/Projects: 40% Homework: 10% Late Work Policy: 1 class day late: -15 points (highest is 85) 2 class days late: -30 points (highest is 70) 3 class days late: -50 points (highest is 50) Students will not receive any points for late work accepted after 3 class days

Technology Use ● ● Students are to keep their technology in their lockers at all times unless asked for by a teacher for that class. If they need to use it we will allow them to get it out of their locker! Students will not give anyone their locker combinations! Students are allowed to use phones before and after school.

Dress Code ● ● ● Shorts/skirts must be fingertip length or longer No shirts/jerseys with large arm holes Sleeveless or sheer shirts must cover 2 inches across the shoulders with solid fabric Jeans cannot have rips above fingertips No slides or house shoes

Class Time ● 1 st 5 - The 1 st 5 minutes of each class is spent quietly getting things out and ready to learn! No interruptions, no questions, no talking! ● Hall Passes - Students have hall passes (8 chances each 6 weeks) to use the restroom, get water, or go to lockers during class. No student will be kept from using the restroom. . . it’s just incentive to try to take care of that between classes! ● Phone Calls - We try to limit classroom interruptions as much as possible. Please try to communicate lunch & ride plans before your child leaves home each morning!

Rewards & Consequences ● Togo Cards - Coming Soon! ● Dog Dollars - school currency that kids can earn with It’s a reward system for kids who are making great choices! positive behavior! ● Fun Friday - Students who have had no discipline issues and have all work caught up/turned in will get an extra 30 minute recess during WIN Time on Fridays. ● Classroom Discipline/Disruption - result in a “signing” which will carry a consequence
