ACARA Cross curriculum priorities The Australian Curriculum places emphasis on Sustainability as a priority for study that connects and relates relevant aspects of content across learning areas and subjects. NSW Syllabus Learning across the curriculum Sustainability is concerned with the ongoing capacity of the Earth to maintain all life. It provides authentic contexts for exploring, investigating and understanding systems in the natural and made environments. The Science K– 10 (incorporating Science and Technology K– 6) Syllabus provides students with opportunities to investigate relationships between systems and system components, to consider how systems respond to change and to develop appreciation for the interconnectedness of the Earth's spheres.
