Magnet Sector • HL- LHC AUP – Long coil fabrication in progress: QXFA 107 impregnation (outgassing) starts today, coil 108 in preparation for reaction, coil 109 winding in progress. – Welding SS shells on a short model is expected this week. • LCLS II - • Test and qualification of the quadrupoles continues: SPQA 125 test completed, waiting for SPQA 126 and 127, they should arrive this week. Mu 2 e – – TS prototype in IB 2 ready for SSW measurements. First production module will be shipped this week. – Work on dished heads (top plates) A and B continues in HAB – PS/DS coil insertion in the shell is delayed. First production DS coil winding is expected in March. • G-2 – Inner coil winding of the inflector will be finished soon • MDP 15 -17 T dipole - Back from the collaboration meeting at Jacksonville, Fl. • IB 1 Infrastructure – VMTF/VTS switchboard upgrade in progress 2 TD Status 12/19/2021

Cryogenic Sector • Cryogenic Test Facilities – Meson Detector Building • PIP-II spoke cavity testing at 2 K last week – Cryomodule Test Facility • LCLS-II F 1. 3 -07 warmed-up & being disconnected, F 1. 3 -09 expected at CMTF next week – Industrial Building 1 • • Stand 3: LCLS-II magnet testing No testing at VMTF and VTS: Klystron electrical installation in progress – Other facilities: • • Supporting g-2 operation at Muon campus. System at 300 K waiting for first Mu 2 e production TS module at Heavy Assembly building (HAB) System at 300 K waiting for IOTA completion and maintenance at FAST Engineering – Procurements • • • LCLS-II: Fabrication of distribution boxes in progress, delivery in July. Delivery of transfer lines expected in May. Mu 2 e: Fabrication of distribution boxes in progress, delivery in early May. PIP-II Cave Transfer Line procurement, delivery expected in May – HL-LHC AUP • L 4 WBS created for cryo-mechanical upgrades of the horizontal test stand at Magnet Test Facility – Sub-Kelvin Cryogenics • • • 3 Super. SRF Sector • R&D – – • Nitrogen infusion studies continue to obtain High Q Work on Nb 3 Sn coating and Plasma processing continues Nb/Cu equipment relocated to new location, installation is in progress. Third quantum computing cavity EP is in progress. RF prep for other quantum computing cavity is in progress. LCLS-II: CM 06 BPM leaking problem. LCLS-II cryomodules are all waiting for BPM solution – 1. 3 GHz cavities • – 3. 9 GHz cavities • – – – – – • 3 HRI 02 dressed, waiting for test prep. CM 03 repair: dis-assembly was completed. Rebuilt started (fill in job between cryomodules). CM 04 pending final modification (cryo-valve gas guard, CAV 1 support) before shipping to SLAC. CM 05 coupler #4 leak repair is postponed. We may need to roll back to WS 4 to fix BPM, and then re-install warm end couplers CM 06 developed leak due to BPM. CM 07 test was completed at CMTF. Q 0 is now 2. 7 e 10. Cryomodule fully met the spec. But it needs to rolled out of vacuum vessel to fix BPM. CM 08 Helium circuit leak check was completed. BPM fix is planned for this week CM 09 in WS 5 for beamline and vacuum vessel leak check. This is accelerated to be ahead of CM 08 to CMTF test. CM 10 is in WS 3. BPM fix is in progress before thermal shield weldment. CM 11 at WS 1 is waiting for BPM solution. PIP-II – 4 CAV 0150 qualified. CAV 0139 and CAV 0154 needs re-HPR. Spoke Cavity S 112 will go in STC for test this week. TD Status 12/19/2021
