OVERVIEW OF TCEQ AIR MONITORS IN CORPUS CHRISTI
OVERVIEW OF TCEQ AIR MONITORS IN CORPUS CHRISTI Five sites monitoring O 3, SO 2, PM 2. 5 (including PM 2. 5 mass and particulate speciation), and PM 10 are used to evaluate compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). In addition, state initiative monitoring sites monitor speciated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by canister and automated gas chromatography and H 2 S.
OVERVIEW OF TCEQ AIR MONITORS IN CORPUS CHRISTI Meteorological data, such as wind, temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation, are also monitored to help inform and characterize monitoring results at a site.
OVERVIEW OF TCEQ AIR MONITORS IN CORPUS CHRISTI Monitoring networks are implemented based on federal regulations found in 40 CFR Part 58. These regulations outline the rules and requirements for monitoring criteria pollutants, including quality assurance, monitoring methodology, and siting requirements.

DATA USE AND ACCESS Ambient air monitoring data has multiple uses, including: Determining compliance with the NAAQS; Evaluating measured concentrations for their potential to cause health effects and odors; Evaluating air permit applications; Assessing the behavior and nature of air pollution; and Forecasting concentrations of certain pollutants, such as ozone or particulate matter
DATA USE AND ACCESS Data is validated and uploaded to the Texas Air Monitoring Information System (TAMIS) database. Data from federally funded monitors are also uploaded to the EPA Air Quality System (AQS) database.
DATA USE AND ACCESS Data can be accessed by the public using the following link: http: //www 17. tceq. texas. gov/tamis/index. cfm? fuseactio n=home. welcome Continuous data can be accessed in near real-time. Non-continuous data is available approximately three – four months after the end of the quarter.
