Objectives of the Project TÜBİTAK • to enhance career perspectives of ERs and assist them in obtaining an independent research position as well as contribute to the establishment of sustainable cooperation between ERs and their respective host institutions. • Yurt dışındaki kendi uzmanlık alanlarında seçkin bilim insanlarının/araştırmacıların araştırmalara katılmak ve teknolojik yenilikler getirmek amacıyla üniversite, kamu ve özel sektör kuruluşlarında kadrolu istihdam edilmesini sağlamak • Türkiye’yi araştırmacılar için cazibe merkezi haline getirmek • To promote Turkey’s scientific and technological colloboration with the countries of the prospective fellows

Monitoring Process TÜBİTAK • In two calls, 52 researchers have been accepted to be awarded. • 27 of them have started their fellowship while 22 of them are waiting to start their fellowship. • 3 researchers cancelled their fellowships. • TUBITAK has signed “Grant Agreement” with related hosting institutions while hosting institutions have signed “Employment Contract” with accepted applicants. • Co-Fund fellows are requested to prepare semi-annual reports. Received reports together with the evaluation forms are sent to the experts in related fields for evaluation. Continuation of fellowship is fully depended to status of semi-annual reports.
Financial Affairs TÜBİTAK • Management of the project budget 1. Hosting institutes open a project budget bank account 2. TUBITAK transfers money of an approved project to the project bank account in 4 parts at the beginning • Although all these payments are decided to be issued using fixed Euro-TL exchange rate of application approval date, due to the important exchange rate changes, it is decided to use not only one fixed exchange rate but 4 different exchange rates belonging to the money transfer date of each 4 parts.
