Senior Portfolio “Making Life Happen” � The Senior Portfolio is one of the first steps in “Making Life Happen”. It will include a foundation that will set students on a path to a bright future. The Senior Portfolio will provide students with the opportunity to: � Explore Career and College pathways of their interest. � Present evidence which will include: Career and Collegiate research, Mentorship, Community Service and/or Internship opportunities, Resumes, Cover Letters, College Admissions or Scholarship essays, and Life Plans. � Demonstrate a product on an elite scale of professionalism. � Present their portfolios in a unique and innovative manner which thematically represents his or her chosen career. � Portfolios can be used to assist students in future endeavors in regards to colleges and career opportunities. .

Yearbook Information – Senior Picture Retakes BPI Photography will be at TCHS on October 10, 2019 for Senior Formal Retakes. There is no charge unless you order a package. Graduation Expectations ALL SENIORS MUST ATTEND GRADUATION PRACTICE – May 22, 2020(8: 15 - 11: 00 am) Graduation for the Class of 2020 will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 8: 00 pm. If the weather is threatening on Friday, May 22 nd , Commencement exercises will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 9: 00 am at Warrior Stadium.

Honor Graduate Rule Tattnall County High School Honor Graduates are divided into two (2) tiers based on advanced courses taken. This calculation will be determined at the end of second semester. • Student must have a 90. 0 GPA or above to be a Honor Graduate. • Students must have a 90. 0 GPA or above and have taken 8 honors, AP, Accelerated or College (Degree level) courses to be an Honor Graduate of Excellence. • Val/Sal comes from this tier

Senior Debts � Any outstanding debt owed to TCHS MUST be paid by Friday, May 1, 2020! � If this debt is not paid, You will NOT be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony or receive your diploma. � No diploma will be issued until all fees have been paid in full! � If you have a debt, this amount is printed on every progress report and report card. � Notices will be mailed out in early March 2020 showing preliminary amounts owed.

Senior Year Expenses Mandatory Senior Expense Graduation Fee - $35. 00 This fee will cover the cost of the diploma, diploma cover, and any other graduation ceremony expense. Graduation fees must be paid by Friday, May 1, 2020. Checks should be made payable to TCHS. Cap and Gown Order – $42. 00 to Herff Jones

ASVAB Testing If you are planning to join the military, you must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). A timed multi-aptitude test, which is given at over 14, 000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense. The ASVAB will be administered to students at TCHS: November 20, 2019 March 25, 2020 Sign up in the Guidance Office!

Complete Your Senior Year On Time Strive to pass ALL classes this year 24 Credits to graduate Course sequence is included in the “green” Senior booklet that was provided to your child the first week of school. It is also available on school website.

ACT/SAT Study material available online and in guidance office Fee waivers available based on family income Most schools take either test STAR student is based on SAT scores only. Student is chosen based on SAT scores taken in one test setting through the November test date of their senior year. Student also must be in the top 10% of the class.
