Taster Activities • The following activities will you give you a taster of the different units that you will study on our childcare courses. • Topics: • Imaginative superhero play • Outdoor play activities • Promoting healthy eating

Imaginative superhero play • Imaginative play allows children to play different characters. • Children can use their imagination to create new stories or they may act out storylines from books, films and TV. • Design an outdoor superhero play area for children aged 2 -4 years • • Which superheroes would you choose? How would you set up the area? What outfits would you need? What props would you use? Send us your work by email or DM us via our Instagram page

Outdoor play activities There are countless learning opportunities in the outdoors and early years practitioners actively promote exploration of and learning within the natural environment Use natural resources to create images and pieces of art Use natural resources to create mobiles and wind streamers Use natural resources to create mini dens for creatures or ‘fairies’ Have a go at one or all of these activities yourself and reflect on what skills you are developing and what learning is taking place.
