Valve Handle Disassembly Sequence Button Head Screw Cam Screw Remove Handle Heat and remove all screws on the handle assembly using 7/32 Allen wrench. The handle can now be removed. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Handle Installation Spring Detent Ball Insert detent springs and detent balls into the handle lugs. While holding the balls in place, snap the handle into place with the offset holes forward. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Handle Installation Carefully align the groove on the slider with the offset hole in the valve disc and with the offset hole in the valve handle. Install safety or cam screw into offset hole using Loc-tite® on screw threads. Install safety and cam screws untill they touch the bottom of groove in slider, then back out ¾ of a turn. Install button head screw into center hole, using Loc-tite® on screw threads. Repeat this process on opposite side of valve. Cycle handle to ensure correct operation. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004

Front End Removal Heat and remove the set screw found in the middle knurled ring forward of the bail handle using a 3/32 Allen wrench. Un-thread the front end till it separates from the valve. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Fill Out and Return Enclosed Upgrade Kit Information Card Record OLD and NEW serial numbers, Contact Information, and Return Card to TFT Note: Move bail handle to the shut off position. This will expose the front section of the slider. Apply a small amount of grease to the outside of the slider. This will aid in lubricating the slide valve. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Replacement Front End Installation Apply a small amount of grease to the area behind the threads on the barrel. Shut off is adjusted by the threads between the valve and the front end of the nozzle. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Replacement Front End Installation Valve Handle Closed While holding the Valve Handle against the stops in the off position, screw the front end into the valve body until contact is made with the valve plug. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Replacement Front End Installation Open handle to on position, screw the front end 1/12 of a turn further to give the valve shut off compression. Place a small mark on the body of the nozzle The width of one stripe is 1/12 of a turn. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Install Set Screws Install set screws included in kit. Thread in both set screws until, they bottom out, without applying pressure. In an alternating fashion continue turning in set screws until tight. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
Wet Test Procedure Place valve handle in shut off position. Pour one cup of water in through the coupling. If water drips out of the front of the nozzle, an adjustment needs to be made to the thread connection of the front end and valve. ©Task Force Tips, Inc 2004
