Task 1: A 4 COPY FROM ARTIST 1. Choose an Artist from below- Wayne Thebaud, Irving Penn or Lisa Milroy 2. Find a Art work by your chosen artist (or use the ones shown) 3. Produce a copy/transcription from this- A 4 if possible and using colour if possible. Wayne Thebaud- Painter Lisa Milroy. Fine Artist Irving Penn- Photographer Getting started: Plan your page- sketch lightly looking for large shapes Stat with what is closest to you in the picture Build your layout- using line and a sharp pencil Gradually build tone and/colour- using tips on your knowledge organiser to help you. To know: How to produce an effective artist copy/transcription To understand: How to make an accurate drawing/painting from an art work To be able to: demonstrate an effective use of Proportion and Tone.

Find 5 things about them and include them in your document/piece of writing 3. Describe your chosen art work- using sentence starters to help you Sentence starters and Key words to help you!
