Introduction to the teachers Mr Matt has joined TIS this year after four years

Introduction to the teachers Mr Matt has joined TIS this year after four years at a leading IB school in Angola, West Africa. Before that he taught at schools in Vietnam, Kuwait and the UK. Mr. Shawn has been teaching at an IB school in Sinpapore for the past 11 years. He has a son in grade 8 and a daughter in grade 4 at TIS. Ms Nargiza has joined TIS in 2010 and she teaches the English Language Learners (ELL) in Grade 3. She helps the ELLs both in class and during Russian lessons. Ms Saida joined TIS 2 years ago. She used to work at Erudite Primary School. Earlier, she worked at Westminster International University.

Home learning (homework) The initial expectation of grade 3 is for children to read at home each night Monday to Thursday for 15 minutes. Then additional pieces, such as IXL (Math home learning) and other Unit of Inquiry pieces will be added when appropriate. The Unit of Inquiry work may take the form of a discussion, a question or to consider a statement.
