What is a STEM Lab? A STEM Lab is a place where students use Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to imagine, design, and create. STEM Lab challenges students to think creatively, practice social skills, collaborate with peers, and use engineering design processes to solve authentic problems. Students are given materials and a problem to solve. They follow an engineering design process to plan, build, evaluate, reflect, and redesign their solution/product. Children work collaboratively with peers to come up with real life solutions to their problem or project requirements. copyright 2006 www. brainybetty. com 12/30/20 21 9
