TALKING PETS www. talkingpets. org Presentation by: Molly Naylon, Samantha Moore, Alyssa Canton and Rebecca Isbell
DESCRIPTION Children can choose from six different pets provided by the website. There is also an option so that your students can upload his/her own pet. After they figure out the kind of pet they want to use, the student can then write in the text box what they want the pet to say. After that is done, the pet then speaks exactly what the student wrote down. This allows the student to hear what their sentences sound like.
CAPABILITIES • Visual Learning • Auditory Learning • Students should learn to write in complete sentences • Correct Grammar
Educational Implications • This is an educational tool to help students write and articulate words better • Students can hear a response of what they have written to hear correct grammar pronunciation. • Talking Pets allows your students to develop a better understanding of computers and technology. • Most of all it shows true creativity!
