BSHAA Professional Development Day, Manchester - 13/09/14 • Our professional title: – Hearing Aid Dispenser: HCPC protected. . an anachronism? – Hearing Aid Audiologist: Widely used, unprotected but does it do justice to our professional role in 21 st century? • Isn’t time that our professional title reflected our role but what should it be? • Dispensing Audiologist? • Other? • Important before we go to the HCPC requesting legal protection of another title.
