FPD Standard Committee Highlights • One new SNARF under development by Flexible Display TF: – Clarified with Japan Flexible Display TF about scope of their existing SNARF Doc #5551: “New Standard: Measurement Method of Water Vapor Transmission Rate for Plastic Films and Sheets with High Barrier Properties for Electronic Devices” – TF leaders have decided to focus this new SNARF on mechanical property of flexible display component and the whole device in addition to traditional WVTR method in order to differentiate it from #5551 – Title of this new SNARF: • “New Standard: Guide for Mechanical Stress Test Methods in the Measurement of Gas Barrier Performance for Flexible Display Components and Devices under a Normal Usage Condition” – Circulated this new SNARF submitted by Flexible Display TF to global FPD TC members and received no negative comment within 2 -week period Venue, Location, Date – Ready to submit to next TC meeting for authorization in mid Sep.
