WP 8: Life cycle assesment of cost, sustainability, safety and aesthetics Research Partners: DTI, CTU Industrial Partners: ELC, PD, SUP, GS, DTP, GR, DRA, UNC Workpackage Objective: To assess the Tailor. Crete concept in the life cycle regarding cost, sustainability, safety and aesthetics. The main objective is to compare Tailor. Crete to the traditional concept.

WP 8 Highlights During M 24 -M 30 Task progress: • Task 8. 1+8. 2 (LCC, LCA): Selected section of representative structure – seafront at Benidorm (DRA), Input template preparation (construction phase decomposition, identification of tasks which do not need cost and impact analysis since they are the same as in traditional approach and identification of partners to provide data). • Task 8. 3 (Safety): Prepared general safety questionnaire to help identify possible safety issues, complementing existing material data safety template; to be distributed and filled to all partners, initiated gathering the input data.

T 8. 2 Life Cycle Analysis • Prepared extensive LCA data sheet for the partners to fill out. • Similarly to the LCC we need to specify the scenario for which the partners should provide input. • The same representative structure as for LCC: Section of Benidorm wall • Ongoing cooperation with Dragados to get specifications.

Work Plan (next 6 months) 1. To develop a 3 D model of one particular section. • Provided by SUP 2. Provide data of number of blocks needed for the two formwork systems. (ETH-DTP) 3. Costs for material and production of the two formwork systems for that particular section ( ETHDTP). • Dependant on software production tool development.

T 8. 3 Safety • • • Developed new safety questionnaire to help in

T 8. 3 Safety • • • Developed new safety questionnaire to help in analysis of all phases in the life cycle with regard to identifying possible safety issues. The expertise of all partners in particular field is essential to us as it can reveal new issues and help to eliminate them. Partners participation, answers, comments and suggestions will be very important data input for WP 8. The electronic version of this questionnaire can be downloaded from http: //mech. fsv. cvut. cz/TC

Exploitable Result N. 12 Exploitable Result 12: Life cycle assessment regarding costs, sustainability, aesthetics and safety of Tailor. Crete concept The assessment will compare the Tailor. Crete concept to the traditional approach in the life cycle, regarding cost, sustainability, safety, and aesthetics. The focus will be on differences, with the aim to identify added benefits and possible new issues compared to traditional approach. • Dissemination in the form of report, publication in professional journal • No difficulties encountered yet, still in data acquisition phase • Achievements: Input data identification, input templates

WP Future Planning LCA+LCC 1. Placement and handling will be estimated once defined the number of blocks and their weights. (PD) 2. Reinforcement design (double curve panels) when 3 D drawings are available (SDU/GB/CHA) 3. SDU/GB will calculate the cost of robotic production. 4. Cost of transportation formwork and reinforcement (ELC) once set the number of panels and blocks ( and their shapes). 5. Reuse and recycling possibilities of the formwork systems (ETH and DTI). 6. Traditional process definition and calculation (Wood formwork, reinforcement production and placing, etc. ) (DRA). Safety • • Distribution of safety questionnaire and material safety template to project partners (very soon, even before Zurich meeting) Initiate data input collection
