Choose Your Own Project Tell Your Own Story At the end of the story, Emma says she owes Aubree an apology. Think of a time in your life you owed an apology to someone. Write about why you needed to apologize, what you did to try to make up for your mistake, and how you felt afterward. Do an Interview In the story, Emma is interviewed on several TV shows. Write five questions you would ask Emma if you were interviewing her. Then act out this imaginary interview with a classmate, either in school, by phone, or by video chat. Respond to the Writing Prompt on Page 19: At the end of the story, Emma heads to talk to Aubree. Write the conversation you think the girls might have. What does Emma want to say? How might Aubree respond? Design a Poster Imagine your job is to promote Emma’s video, “Girl Can’t Dance. ” Design an advertising poster for the video that will convince people to view it.
