Sysco Speaks – Why? • Sysco believes that every associate matters and that we can make a positive impact on engagement and retention by understanding the associate experience directly from them • Capturing feedback about the associate experience allows us to refine and change based on what our people want/need • Sysco Speaks provides insights across all of our Strategic Priorities and is a key driver for Activate the Power of Our People 2
Survey Profile • Annual, global survey deployed in January to roughly 60, 000 associates • Associates (excluding contractors) with 90 days of tenure are eligible • Available from any Internet-enabled device • Individualized links are sent to associates with email • Non-email associates use a unique identifier (network or employee ID) to access the survey via www. syscospeaks. com • Survey is deployed by Perceptyx, Inc. • Survey is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant, attributed, but confidential • No one at Sysco can see individual responses • Results are never viewable in groups of less than five • Managers receive direct access to the Perceptyx results dashboard to view results for their teams and create Action Plans 3
Survey Design • 55 questions in 13 Categories, designed to measure various aspects of the associate experience • Engagement Index – a blend of four questions measuring satisfaction, pride, intent to stay and advocacy—these form the basis of our overall engagement score • Questions are refreshed annually based on internal validation, external benchmarking and Perceptyx expertise • Open Text Comments – associates can choose up to three categories on which to comment • Communications • Recognition/Rewards Sysco Speaks Categories: • • • Customer Focus Diversity & Inclusion Future/Vision Immediate Supervisor Leadership Trust Learning/Development 4 • • • Safety The Job Itself Survey Action Ethics Career Development

Respondent Data Collection For HR Only • Respondent data is organized using a standard data template • Pre-loaded data enables analysis by various demographics, and by hierarchy for managers of people • Data for respondents is securely passed to Perceptyx via: • Direct transfer from HR Systems, such as Workday • Secure FTP sites on encrypted spreadsheets for those outside systems • Data stewards at each company/location are responsible for data updating/submission • Two major data efforts • End of October – sample data file • December 4 – final data file
Results Analysis – Perceptyx Tool • HR Business Partners/Directors receive access to results for their area of the business • Managers with five or more survey responses from their team receive access to results • Pre-loaded associate demographic information enables grouping of results by Country, Company, Role, Department, Location, Tenure, etc. • Filtered results can be compared to Sysco Overall, Country or Business Norms, and Perceptyx benchmarks by country • All questions (except open comments) follow a five-point favorability scale 8 Available in: English Latin American Spanish French Canadian French Swedish
Making a Difference for Associates Obtain Feedback • All managers with five or more survey responses in their hierarchy receive access to results in Perceptyx • Managers can create date-bound Action Plans on any category or question in the survey • Perceptyx reminds managers to take action by the due date, and each Action Plan can be marked as complete • Sysco’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) determines enterprise focus areas to drive engagement across the enterprise • Managers receive training guides and videos “We want your feedback’ Communicate Actions Taken Communicate and Analyze Results “We heard you” “We made these impacts based on your feedback” Feedback Loop Take Action “We are making an impact” 9 Plan Action “We’re going to make an impact”
