INFORMATION v Theme: Garden of Lights v Date: Saturday, April 8 th, 2017 v Time: 8: 00 pm – 11: 00 pm v Place: Lake Jackson Civic Center

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES v Arrive by 9: 00 pm v Must stay until 11: 00 pm Students who arrive after 9: 00 pm will be denied entry with no refund.

PHOTOGRAPHY v We will not have an official photographer at the event v Bring your personal camera for multiple photo opportunities v Yearbook staff will be on hand for yearbook photos

MUSIC v Professional DJ services will be provided v If you have a song request, see a junior class officer

FOOD v Variety of desserts • • Cookies Cheesecake Cream Puffs Chocolate Fountain v Punch v Water

SIGN-UP v Sign-up will be Wednesday, March 29 through Wednesday, April 5 th v Sign up in the library v Tickets are $30. 00 each (name on a list) v Cash only (no checks)

YOUR PROM DATE If your date is not an SHS student, he or she will need to be approved by Mr. Miksch • Date must be less than 21 years old • No Junior High students may attend • Dates will be required to present a valid picture driver’s license prior to entry • You are responsible for making sure your date knows the rules for prom

DRESS CODE The purpose of a prom dress code is to help you to make good choices, not inhibit your style or personality. However, this is a high school function, and we also want everyone to be comfortable and safe. It is not necessary for dresses and tuxedos to match theme.

DRESS CODE v. No athletic wear • Caps • Tennis shoes • No ripped, casual jeans – Nice starched jeans and jacket are fine v. Dresses • • May not reveal abdomen (this includes cut-outs) Should not be cut below natural waistline in back Should not have revealing or plunging necklines Length should be appropriate

GUIDELINES FOR DRESSES v Dresses may be backless, but may not extend below natural waist v No bare midriffs or cut-outs that expose the front or sides of midriff (No 2 piece dresses) v Hemline of dress must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. This includes any slits that may be in the dress v No plunging or revealing necklines
