WATER LEVEL WHY DO WE WANT TO MEASURE IT? To determine the quantity of water available where it’s going and how fast it’s moving
ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR DEPLOYMENT The SLL instruments are programmed with identical scheduled logs and suspended in well with a Hangers with wire. The Barometric Pressure Sensor Placed at telemetry system at the top of the monitoring well to measure atmospheric pressure. The SLL is placed in water column to measure both the atmospheric and water pressure. The data from the SLL automatically corrected with the Barometric Sensor data after deployment to reflect the true groundwater elevation. Data logger with Telemetry Unit 1. SURFACE WATER MONITORING Shaft Encoder Principle: A pulley attached to a float and counter-weight rotates as water level rises or falls, and the encoder sends two pulse strings to the datalogger. The datalogger records the pulse strings, and water level is calculated by adding and subtracting the clockwise or counter clockwise movement to a running total.

SURFACE WATER MONITORING Radar Water-Level Sensors CS 475 CS 477 CS 476 Principle: They emit short microwave pulses and then measure the elapsed time between the emission and return of the pulses. The elapsed time measurement is used to calculate the distance between the sensor and the target (e. g. , water, grain, slurry). The distance value can then be used to determine depth. Ideal for areas where submersed sensors can be damaged due to corrosion, contamination, flood-related debris, lightning, or vandalism Wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +80°C) Measurement Range: 2 in – 229 ft

REAL TIME WATER QUALITY MONITORING The Multiparameter Probe is rugged to use in groundwater and surface water application. It is having corrosion resistant technology to use in any type of water. It delivers accurate data in an easy-to-use, customizable instrument. Measurable parameters are: Temperature, Barometric Pressure, p. H, ORP, Conductivity, TDS, Salinity, RDO, Turbidity, TSS etc.
TOC ANALYSER TOC is index of organic pollution in water. Extremely wide range from 4, ug/L to 25, 000 mg/L for applications. The Analysis of TOC is a more rapid method for the determination of organic load and thus has the potential for better early warning and pollution control management. SSM with TOC Combining the Solid Sample combustion unit with a TOC analyzer permits analysis of many solid samples in addition aqueous samples, including soil, sludge, and sediments
TOC ANALYSER - APPLICATIONS 1. Drinking water, process water, waste water, surface water (river, lakes), ground water and sea water 2. Purified Water (PW), Water For Injection (WFI), Cleaning validation, Plastic packaging testing in pharmaceutical industries 3. TOC determination in Soil, Sludge, Sediments, organic fertilizers, soil conditioners 4. Inspection of bio mass (algae biomass, liquid manure…) for growth and characterization verification. 5. Surface Carbon Analysis of specially treated metal parts viz. , Al, steel, Cu, Brass and Al foils etc for Quality Control 6. Determination of TOC level in ALUM (Poly Aluminium Chloride) as per IS 15573: 2014 7. TOC Measurement of etching solutions, Electroplating solutions (Copper, Nickel) for PCB plating process. 8. Quality control of incoming components inspection (acids, alkaline, salts), Inorganic chemicals impurity checking. Ex: Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide solution, Soda Solution, Ammonia or Ammonium Salt solutions, Sodium Nitrate & Sodium Nitrite, Phosphoric Acid and Diluted Hydrofluoric Acid, Brines etc. 9. CO 2 determination in beer, soft drinks and beverages 10. Determination of Coffee aroma, Organic tea aroma, Detergent quality on fabric subtract. 11. AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION Weather Sensor Measures Ultrasonic wind speed and direction, pressure, humidity and temperature The sensor features durable, corrosionresistant construction. Variety of useful serial output formats are provided including SDI-12, NMEA, and ASCII text. Operating Temperature: -40 to +60 °C
AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION Temperature Sensor Rugged, accurate probe that measures air, soil, and water temperature for a variety of applications. Measuring Range: from -50° to +70°C. Tolerance: ± 0. 2°C When exposed to sunlight, it should be housed in a radiation shield. The sensor can be submerged to 15 m (50 ft) or 21 psi in water. Suitable for shallow soil burial only Ex: in locations subject to digging, mowing, traffic, use of power tools or lightning strikes.
AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION Evaporation Gauge Determines evaporation rate by measuring the changing water level in an evaporation pan. The evaporation gauge produces a resistance output that our dataloggers can monitor on site or remotely. Operating Temperature Range: -40° to +60°C Resistance: 1, 000 Ω, ± 10%
AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION Sonic Snow Depth Sensors Designed to meet the stringent requirements of measuring snow depths Uses a multiple echo processing algorithm to help ensure measurement reliability. Available with a heater option for locations where rime ice is a problem. Measurement Time: < 1. 0 s Output Options: SDI-12 version 1. 3, RS-232/485 Measurement Range: 0. 5 to 10 m
AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION Pyranometer For the Accurate Measurement of Solar Irradiance Specifications to ISO 9060: 1990 and IEC 60904 standards Widely used within World Meteorological Organisation scientific programmes Suitable for use in all environments, from the Antarctic to deserts. They are installed around the world for meteorology, hydrology, climate research, solar energy, environmental and materials testing, greenhouse control, building automation and many other applications. Spectral range : 200 -3600 nm Maximum operational irradiance - 4000 W/m 2
SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT SENSOR Principle: Measures the absorption of natural ground gamma radiation through snow cover Measures snow water equivalent (SWE) by passively detecting the change in naturally occuring electromagnetic energy from the ground after it passes through snow cover. Measurement area: 50 - 100 square meters Does not cause the melt of light snow (as with a snow pillow) SWE values can be transmitted in real-time from remote sites.
SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT SENSOR How it Works CS 725 SWE Sensor Bursts of light are converted to electrical signals. Counts are accumulated over a 6 hour period. Photo Multiplier Tube Gamma Spectrometer (thallium-doped sodium iodide crystal) Naturally occurring gamma radiation from ground
SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT SENSOR Ideal SWE Measurement Non-contact/Non-Destructive Technique Would not have the potential to cause environmental harm Easy to Install (no earth-works required) Would not affect the interaction of water, temperature or radiation between the atmosphere, snow, and/or ground
SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT SENSOR Disadvantages of Snow Pillow which are overcome successfully in SWE Sensor: Expensive Infrastructure Subject to Ice Bridging (critical at melt) Glycol poses environmental challenges Affected by freezing rain Prevents thermal exchanges with ground Small measurement area
RAIN GAUGE WITH DATA LOGGER Used to measure Rain fall. Rainfall measurement for crop planning, agricultural production process etc High accuracy, low maintenance tipping bucket rain collector Display in Inches Automatic records and display upto 9. 99 in
