What is SLRM and how it was implemented ? Ø Ø Ø Ø Solid & Liquid Resource Management is a method to convert unwanted materials into resource by handling it separately. E-rickshaws/Tricycles are used to collect door to door resource. Even abandoned or unutilized buildings are converted into SLRM center with minor repair & beautification. Green and red scientifically designed buckets are distributed to each and every household to collect the organic and inorganic items from households & commercials. Major stakeholders like elected representatives, head of voluntary organizations, religious institutions and Hospitals, Teachers and lecturers of Schools and Colleges, Hotel owners were trained & oriented. Totally 800 volunteers & self help group members have been trained in two batches of 15 days each at district level. IEC and multiple awareness activities were conducted in rural & urban areas of the district. The first SLRM Center was set up in Vandse Gram Panchayath, Kundapur block as a Pilot Project.
