Activities taken by the Expert Group on Sustainable Development (EGSD – Baltic 2030) ●Baltic 2030 Bumps Report. Monitoring tool of implementation of the Baltic 2030 action Plan; ● Capacity building on 2030 Agenda – Leadershipand Capacity building programmes, Handbook «Localizing SDGs» ; ● Youth for the 2030 Agenda- Support for Regeneration 2030 movement; ● Support the EGSD chairmanship priorities – programming, organisation of the seminars, preparation and folow up of the EGSD meetings
Climate work contributes to CBSS Prosperous Region Facilitating cooperation to achieve EU common Climate and Energy Goals Coordinating Horizontal Action Climate of the EUSBSR: focusing on the transition to a low-carbon economy and increasing climate resilience, as these remain critical challenges and areas of priority collaboration in the Baltic Sea Region What we do ● BSR Climate Policy Dialogue Round-Tables: information exchange for policy alignment and development/implementation of national climate policies ● Climate Inventory: BSR Selection in the EU Climate-ADAPT website for dissemination of information & good practice ● BSR climate forums, seminars and capacity building programmes: for stakeholders involvement and awareness rising like BLP on Energy Efficiency ● Joint projects and actions for providing practical solutions ● Cooperation with the EC and EEA (European Environmental Agency) and other EU macro regions, the UN (UNECE, UNEP) for knowledge exchange and transfer

Sustainable Maritime Economy ● Aim: Provide politically coordinated support to relevant efforts to improve the BSR’s international competitiveness with regard to development of the sustainable maritime economy - positioning the Baltic Sea region as a model region for maritime best practice ● Expert Group on Sustainable Maritime Economy, EGSME: Valuable partner in Baltic Sea maritime dialogue, working jointly with EUSBSR PA Ship, ND Partnership on Transport and Logistics, EU DG Mare and EU DG Move, BSSSC, CPMR, BSPC and other stakeholders ● Cross-sectorial approach: governments, businesses and academia ● Aim: Information Hub for experience and knowledge exchange, providing cross sectorial approach and synergies between key actors in the field of maritime economy in Baltic Sea Region

Labour and Employment Baltic Sea Labour Forum (BSLF) – EUSBSR Flagship, established 2012 as a platform for the Social Dialogue between trade unions and employer organisations Upcoming event: BSLF Round Table, Vilnius, 2021
BSLF for Sustainable Working Life Project • Funding: ESF (call for proposals on skills development, methods to strengthen link between education and employment) and SI (3 rd country participation) • SDGs addressed: 8 (decent work and economic growth), 3 ( good health and well-being), 5 ( gender equality), 10 (reducing inequalities). EUSBSR action plan: action 4 ”A labour market for all, using resources of longer lives” • Aim: Improve working life conditions and Lifelong Learning systems and policies for an elderly work force in order to promote Active Ageing and employability • Core project mechanism: 2 Thematic Working Groups – (I) Age Mgmt and Working Conditions, (II) Job opportunities for an ageing work force, including entrepreneurship. LLL and knowledge transfer between generations are cross-cutting theme in both TWGs. Nine countries, cross-sectoral • Outcomes: selected good practices in LLL and AA - policy recommendations - toolbox for transnational cooperation - transnational cross-sectoral partnership • Integration of ESF horizontal principles of gender equality, non-discrimination and accessibility • TWGs supported by expertise in co-creation, horizontal principles, research and policy development
Science and Research ● CBSS Science Research Innovation Agenda (SRIA), endorsed 2016, Krakow ● Annual CBSS Baltic Sea Science Day (BSSD), launched 2017, St. Petersburg: Focus on Academic Mobilities for Young Researchers Baltic Science Day Award – CBSS initiative to celebrate the achievements of young promising minds doing research on the topics of great importance to the Baltic Sea Region
Scientific Projects Baltic Science Network is a flagship of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region under the Policy Area Education, Research and Employability. BSN_Powerhouse: Extension 18+6 month from August 2019. CBSS is responsible for dissemination activities: • Managing the Baltic Science network website; • Disseminate activities, results of the project; • Participate actively in existing event formats; • Place articles on BSN in relevant publications;
