Surrealistic Devices • There are six devices or tools that artists can use to make an artwork look surreal

Levitation • Objects floating that should not be • In this painting, the knife is hovering or floating over the table • i. e. Chris Angel levitates

Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition • Joining 2 images together in an impossible combination

Dislocation

Dislocation • Objects taken from their original environment and placed in an unusual situation

Transformation • Objects changing from one thing to another
